Why Trek in 2025?
In the recent dramatic changes in world politics, Trump’s treacherous rejection of the USA’s 80-year alliance with the UK and Europe, in favour of Putin’s Russia can have only one answer: the UK must Reunite with Europe: re-join the Union and create Joint Defence Forces.
3rd-11th May: Festival of Europe Scotland.
10th – 31st May: We Choose Europe
The trek ‘We choose Europe‘ began at Parliament on 24th March when MPs debate the Petition to Rejoin the EU, and will culminate with public demonstrations during the State Visit of President Trump to the UK whenever it happens later in the year. The primary aim was to highlight the dangers of right-wing authoritarianism and the imperative to be fully integrated with European nations, both commercially and defensively.
Stand with Our ‘Star of European Unity and Peace’
Our Star offers the opportunity for any organisation dedicated to unity and peace to host the two sculptures at their event to create popular demand that the UK reunites with European nations at the earliest opportunity. Planning of the Trek is at an early stage, so please contact us now to take part.

11th May 2025
Dance Europa: (Swindon, Wilts)
As part of Our Star’s Trek towards Europe, Swindon4Europe‘s put on the ‘German Sparkle Party!’ show, by Dance Europa. Here they are posing in front of the UK’s Star of European Peace, celebrating VE Day, Europe Day and National Rejoin Day, and fundraising for the adult mental health charity: KELLY FOUNDATION!

Euro-Worcester: (at the Guildhall in Worcester)
Our Star will be at this event and a brief report will appear here in due course.
19th May
EU/UK Summit meeting: (Downing Street, London)
Our Star celebrates this event, as a clear positive step towards greater unity and peace within Europe. Due to other commitments Our Star is unable to attend, but fully support all objective of the Groups present on the day.
July 8th-10th: State Visit of President Macron (Windsor / London).
Our Star is planning with other associated groups to celebrate this State Visit as a clear positive step towards greater unity and peace within Europe. The details of events and locations have not yet been announced, but will appear here when available.
September 2025 – The Trump State Visit
President Trump has been invited for make a State Visit in September, firstly a planning visit to Scotland; (Balmoral, Balmedie, Aberdeen ?) and then the real thing including meeting(s) with King Charles and Government ministers. As further details are announced this section will be updated to announce locations and actions being planned.
There is considerable opposition to the visit and to Trump’s policies, particularly with respect of Ukraine. Our Star stands with all opposition to Trump and his policies.
‘Thy Resurrection’ by the Kiev Perchesky Lavra Monastery accompanies this video commentary on the current global situation, and to draw attention to the imperative of fully reuniting with Europe, Our Star will be joined during the ’Trek towards Europe’ this Spring, by the ‘Hitler-Stalin’ float, created by Jacques Tilly, to galvanise discussions and support for reuniting.
